The live National Women's Soccer League table, tonight's scores, and the United States squad the league feeds.
The National Women's Soccer League is the top division of women's soccer in the United States and the league that supplies almost the entire American national team — the two are barely separable, because every player in the squad returns to an NWSL club between camps. Gotham FC lead the table on 48 points from 24 matches. The United States women have won 20 of their last 25 matches. This page carries the league table, the night's results, and the Americans building careers in England, Spain and France.
Portland Thorns' 2024 season marked by significant dropped points due to defensive issues, impacting their NWSL playoff race.

Kansas City CurrentLive, updated after every match. The rule under row 8 is the playoff cut line — the eight clubs above it hold a post-season place tonight. The NWSL plays a balanced single table rather than conferences, so the standing you see is the whole league: no club benefits from an easier side of the draw, and the gap between eighth and ninth is usually decided in the last fortnight of the season rather than in September.

The Women's Super League, Liga F and the French first division now employ United States internationals in numbers, and the traffic runs both ways — European clubs sign American forwards, and the NWSL buys European midfielders back. That two-way market is new. For most of the last decade the best American women stayed home because the NWSL paid better and the national team rewarded visibility; the calculation changed once European clubs began matching salaries and offering Champions League soccer, which no American club can. The players who leave now are not leaving for money, and the ones who stay are not staying for lack of offers.
